Hitting the Road
Jaree is off to a great photography workshop in North Carolina tomorrow. She has really been looking forward to it, its a small group and led by Arthur Rainville. Stay tuned for the results!!
Hope you all are having a good spring ... the flowering trees are getting to be so pretty around Missouri right now, especially the Dogwoods. The Redbuds have been lovely, too.

Angles
"Angles"
This is a photo by Jaree and its a personal favorite ... we think it is strking for the extreme angle of the shot and how it emphasizes the architecture, as well as the almost eerie clouds floating overhead. It is definitely best in black and white, although the colors of the painted lady and the deep blue sky were pretty that day.

Sneak Peek
Here are two photos Jaree just finished for photo club ... she loves exploring the unusual subject/composition for personal projects like this.
The rainy day was the inspiration ... the drop of water was place on a mirror, sitting on a windowsill and it was photographed with a Macro lens.

Student Art Quest
Jaree had the BEST time yesterday helping to judge the Student Art Quest for 2009 with the Lake Arts Council, it was awesome. There are some tremendously talented kids in the Lake area, kudos to them all! The panel of five judges really were challenged to choose amongst all the outstanding work.
If you are going to be in the Lake of the Ozarks area in April, we encourage you to check out the student artists work at Stone Crest Mall. It will bring a smile to your face to see the potential and vision of the upcoming generation.
