We had a terrific photo session with a wonderful, gorgeous family of eighteen yesterday ... four generations all gathering to enjoy the holiday season together. Isn't that awesome? The oldest was 92 and the youngest was just a couple of days old. While we hoped for good weather to be outside, alas the cold temps kept us in and made for a few technical challenges, especially with regards to trying to use just natural light. We ended up approaching the session more in a photo journalistic style, looking to capture the event of their gathering more informally. The resulting photos are turning out to be gentle, sweet, gracious and casual ... just like this family. We've chosen to process the set in soft, sepia toned images ... while they are classic in feel, the compositions are not formal or traditional at all. We are hoping they will love them! We'll share once the family has the first peek and gives us the okay ...
